WellNow Urgent Care is hiring a Patient Care Technician to support front-end and clinical operations. You will help gather patient histories, take vital signs, and assist with phlebotomy and point-of-care testing.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role.
• Preferred Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or Phlebotomy experience.
• Ability to recognize equipment issues and alert team leader.
• Strong communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Proficient computer and EMR usage for patient registration and records.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and record vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy if certified and collect lab samples.
• Complete paperwork and lab test entries in the EMR with accuracy.
• Conduct point-of-care tests (e.g., strep, influenza, glucose, U/A).
• Coordinate records for ancillary care and schedule tests.
• Assist providers with exams and testing and maintain patient flow.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA and ensure exam rooms are stocked.
