Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care is hiring a Patient Care Technician to support front-end and clinical operations in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The role involves patient history, vital signs, phlebotomy (if certified), and assisting providers during exams.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role.
• Preferred experience in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or Phlebotomy.
• CPR certification and EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy for lab samples if certified.
• Complete paperwork and lab orders in the EMR system.
• Conduct point-of-care tests (strep, glucose, influenza, urine tests).
• Coordinate records for ancillary care and assist providers during exams.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and ensure equipment and rooms are stocked.
