Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support urgent care services. You will take patient histories, obtain vital signs, and assist with phlebotomy and point-of-care testing, helping providers with exams and ensuring accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role.
• Preferred experience in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or Phlebotomy.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Proficient use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy if certified.
• Complete paperwork for lab tests and document results.
• Conduct point-of-care tests (strep, flu, glucose, pregnancy, urinalysis).
• Coordinate patient records for ancillary care and tests.
• Assist providers with exams and procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked and equipment works.
• Document patient histories and exam findings accurately.
