WellNow Urgent Care is hiring a Patient Care Technician to support urgent care and occupational medicine services. You will take patient histories, perform phlebotomy when certified, and assist providers during exams and testing.

EMR registration, confidentiality compliance, and strong communication are essential. Minimum requirements include 6+ months in a customer-facing healthcare role, CPR certification, and the ability to work well in a team while managing high patient volume.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role; OR equivalent education/certification in a related healthcare specialty
• Preferred experience in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or Phlebotomy
• CPR certification is required
• Proficient with EMR systems and registering patients electronically
• Excellent listening and note-taking skills; strong communication abilities
• Ability to work well in a team and handle high patient volume

Responsabilités

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs
• Perform phlebotomy if certified
• Complete lab paperwork for tests
• Conduct point-of-care testing (strep, flu, glucose, etc.)
• Coordinate records for ancillary care
• Assist providers during exams and testing
• Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
