Job summary

Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin in Austin, TX seeks a dedicated CNA to support the Telemetry Observation unit during night shifts. You will assist with patient movement, daily living activities, and report changes to nursing staff while maintaining clean rooms and equipment.

Qualified candidates will hold a High School diploma or equivalent, with a recent BLS provider certification. Nurse Aide is preferred, and 1 year of relevant experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Preferred credential: Nurse Aide.

Responsibilities

• Aids with movement and placement of patients.

• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff; documents necessary records.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • Nurse Aide.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
