Boston Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the 5W Teaching and Innovations Unit. You will assist RNs with direct patient care, monitor vitals, and support families while contributing to an environment focused on teaching and improving care workflows.

Role requires a high school diploma, BLS/CPR, and the ability to pass competency tests. Experience in acute care is preferred; a nursing program or CMA training is acceptable. Competitive pay and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification and CPR required or obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to pass clinical competency testing.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic math and computer proficiency.
• One of: 1 year PCT in acute hospital setting or enrolled in nursing program with rotations, completed PCT training, CMA training, EMT experience (adult ED), or language skills a plus.
• Prior medical/surgical experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform delegated patient care interventions in the Critical Care unit and for patient families.
• Obtain vitals, assist with hygiene, bathing, dressing wounds and comfort measures.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and assist with supplies in the Critical Care unit.
• Support efficient department operations and contribute to quality patient outcomes.
