Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Sitter/Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Resource Team working 3p-3a. The role supports direct nursing tasks, patient safety, and quality customer service within a multi-specialty hospital setting.

You will assist with basic patient care, monitor conditions, take vital signs, document accurately, and collaborate with RN staff across unit teams. Eligible candidates may have CNA/EMT credentials and experience in acute care environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum knowledge: communicate effectively, multi-task and prioritize, computer/data entry.
• Preferred knowledge: prior exposure to a medical environment, medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Performs individualized patient-focused care and technical tasks under RN delegation.
• Takes and records vital signs and input/output as directed.
• Assists with bathing, feeding, dressing, turning, repositioning and transporting.
• Responds to call lights, directs visitors, and assists with duties as directed by nursing staff.
• Observes patient conditions and reports changes to nursing staff.
