Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support the Emergency department under nursing staff supervision. The role focuses on delivering care from newborn to geriatric patients and ensuring accurate documentation in line with policy.

The position emphasizes privacy, safety, and teamwork, with adherence to HIPAA and professional standards. PRN status may apply, with benefits supporting staff well-being.

Qualifications

• Certification as MA, CNA, PCT, EMT, or HHA in Kansas, or at least one nursing school semester.
• Current BLS/CPR before participating in patient care activities.
• On-the-job training for sterile technique, obstetrics and surgery.
• EKG and phlebotomy training completed.

Responsibilities

• Complete timely and accurate documentation as per Health System/affiliate policy.
• Provide care to patients newborn through geriatric.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care per unit/department policies.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, team members, and other stakeholders.
• Act in accordance with the organization’s mission, vision and values.
