Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to join the Resource Team. The role involves direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff and support in ensuring safety and exceptional service across departments from med to ED, ICU, and OB.

Responsibilities include vitals, specimen handling, phlebotomy-related tasks, and collaboration with the health care team to support newborn to geriatric patients in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
• Multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
• Computer/data entry skills.
• Previous exposure to a medical environment.
• Medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient-focused care under the direct delegation of a registered nurse.
• Takes and records vital signs and input/output as directed.
• Assists with bathing, feeding, dressing, turning, and transporting.
• Responds to call lights and visits patients; maintains PHI privacy.
