Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson, KS seeks a Patient Sitter/Patient Care Tech (PCT) on the Resource Team for 11a-11p shifts. You will perform direct patient care under RN delegation, support safety, and participate in outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nurse assistant training program.
• Six months nurse assistant experience.
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) experience.
• EMT-A experience or higher.
• First semester nursing school clinical completed.

Responsibilities

• Performs individualized patient-focused care under RN delegation.
• Takes and records vitals and intake/output as directed.
• Assists with bathing, feeding, dressing, turning and transport.
• Answers calls, directs visitors, and runs errands for nursing staff.
• Observes patient condition and reports changes to staff.
• Handles lab specimens and adheres to PHI privacy rules.
• Supports newborn through geriatric patient population.
