Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre is seeking a Patient Care Technician in a full-time day/evening role. The position offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, a minimum hiring rate of $18.94 per hour, and up to $3 shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

The role includes support for nursing staff and potential nursing career pathway funding. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of related work experience, a high school diploma or GED, and Basic Life Support

Qualifications

• Clinical skills required for patient care and safety.
• Strong teamwork and communication within care teams.
• Facility knowledge of unit operations and patient safety principles.

Responsibilities

• May perform a wide variety of advanced patient care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Maintains patient care and unit environment according to policies and procedures.
• Transcribes and processes orders; coordinates transportation of patients to tests; supports day-to-day unit operations.
