Job summary

Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA is hiring a Patient Care Technician for three 12-hour night shifts. The role features a $1,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, a minimum hiring rate of $18.94 per hour, and increased rates with shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

A tuition assistance program offers up to $40,000 to pursue nursing education. The position involves ADL support, vital signs collection, POCT, turning and repositioning patients, and other care tasks

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience preferred (1 year) or related healthcare work.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Collect vitals and daily weights.
• Perform point-of-care testing.
• Turn and reposition patients for comfort and safety.
• Check and exchange nursing equipment as needed.
• Assist with catheter/IV removal as directed.
• Support patient care under RN supervision.
