Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to coordinate daily activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role includes direct patient care, hygiene, mobility, and monitoring, with multi-skills across phlebotomy and EKGs as needed.

Qualifications

• GED or HiSET is required.
• English reading/writing proficiency is essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team and patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate patient care and monitor vital signs.
• Assist with hygiene, mobility, skin care and basic procedures per nurse direction.
• Administer treatments and support procedures as required by unit policy.
• Assist with specimen collection and nursing tasks as assigned.
• Communicate patient status and concerns to the RN and care team.
