Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Technician for the Adult Emergency Department. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patients, and support the care team during the 2nd shift (3pm–3am).

Phlebotomy, EKGs, and vital signs are part of the routine, with BLS and ED-specific phlebotomy training required. Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED, completed a PCT/CNA-like program, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a PCT, CNA or RN basics course.
• Strong communication skills and patient interaction expected.
• BLS certification; phlebotomy training/education is required for ED positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and plan of care.
• Take vital signs, perform point-of-care testing and Foley care.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN/LPN.
• Support patient satisfaction initiatives and participate in PI activities.
