Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a part-time caregiver to work night shifts on a 12-hour schedule. You will assist with activities of daily living, communicate with the healthcare team, and uphold professional ethics.

Under RN/LPN supervision, you may perform phlebotomy and EKG if certified, monitor patient status, and contribute to education for patients and families. Ongoing training and safety standards are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic patient care skills, procedures, and standards.
• Strong communication skills with patients and families.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completed a PCT course, fundamentals nursing course in an RN program, CNA, or 1 year of direct patient care experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy training/education required for Emergency Department positions.

Responsibilities

• Supports activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and mobility/transportation.
• Demonstrates standard precautions and safe patient practice, including care of patients in isolation.
• Performs technical duties directed by RN/LPN: vital signs, point‑of‑care testing, bladder scanning, Foley catheter care, and documents appropriately.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKG if certified.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient status to RN/LPN and responds appropriately.
• Reinforces patient and family education regarding individual care needs and safety issues.
• Participates in patient satisfaction initiatives and performance improvement activities.
• Assists in orientation of new hires.
