Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a night shift, full-time Post-Partum Couplet Care Patient Care Tech (PCT) to support mothers and newborns under supervision of nurses.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, recording vitals, transporting supplies, drawing blood when needed, and providing basic patient care. Required are a high school diploma or GED and BLS within 14 days of hire; CNA/PCT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: phlebotomy proficiency.
• Preferred: CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Observe patients and report progress to RN or other medical staff.
• Obtain and record vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Draw blood as needed and assist with range of motion.

Learn About a Day in the Life of a PCT:

• Work under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform duties which include assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observe patients' progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assist patients with range of motion, and draw blood.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
• Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.
• Two (2) years of experience in acute or long-term care.
