Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Tucson Northwest is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for full-time night shifts. You will assist with basic patient care, bathing, feeding, and mobility, while maintaining patient comfort and safety in a post-ICU setting.

Responsibilities include hourly rounds, transporting patients to treatment areas, keeping rooms clean, stocking supplies, and following hospital protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds and monitor patient condition.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with movement as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and patient rooms.
• Keep unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $19.32 - $24.50 per hour, based on years of experience

• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
