Job summary

Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the Med-Surg team in a part-time, first shift role. You will support licensed nurses with direct and indirect patient care, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, clean environment to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include collecting vitals, documenting findings, assisting with patient transport, and providing courteous service to patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; coursework/experience in patient care.
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire; BHDT training within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Collect patient data (vital signs, weights, I&O) and report findings.
• Provide courteous patient and family assistance; direct and greet patients; support registration processes.
• Handle equipment appropriately and assist with charting and record-keeping.
• Respond to emergencies and work rotating weekends/holidays as needed.
