Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) to assist the Registered Nurse in delivering direct and indirect patient care. You will work under the day-to-day supervision of the RN and Nurse Manager to support patient needs.

The role requires High School or GED, MD CNA registration, PCT certification, CPR, and at least 1 year of direct patient care experience. Strong English communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Certified as a Patient Care Technician (PCT).
• Heart saver (CPR) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, comfort and safety under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, hygiene, etc.).
• Follow infection control practices to protect patients and staff.
• Perform delegated nursing care procedures as directed.
• Observe patients and report changes in condition to nursing staff.
• Document carefully in patient records and EMR as trained.
• Assist with meals, feeding and feeding assistance as needed.
• Maintain clean, stocked patient rooms and orderly supply areas.
