Job summary

GBMC is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician to join our direct patient care team in Baltimore. The role supports Registered Nurses by helping with daily living activities, monitoring vitals, and maintaining a safe, clean patient environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of direct patient care, Maryland CNA registration, PCT certification, and CPR. We value compassion, teamwork, and attention to detail in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of direct patient care experience (Med/Surg preferred).
• Must have current Maryland CNA registration and PCT certification.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides care, comfort, and safety of assigned patients under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, hygiene, linens).
• Uses proper techniques to avoid infection of patient and self.
• Performs delegated nursing care procedures as indicated.
• Observes patients and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Completes close observation documentation.
• Distributes meals and assists with feeding when needed, maintains trays.
• Maintains and stocks patient rooms in clean, orderly condition.
• Assists in admission, transfer, discharge, and transportation as needed.
• Uses electronic medical records as required for documentation.
• Precepts new staff as directed.
