Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist nurses in delivering direct and indirect patient care. Under supervision, you will support daily activities, safety, and basic procedures, ensuring comfort and timely response to patient needs.

The role requires a HS diploma, CNA registration, CPR and Collegial teamwork, with preference for 6 months of direct patient care experience. Competitive pay and community benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Current registration with State of Maryland Board of Nursing Examiners of Nurses as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• At least 6 months experience in direct patient care preferred.
• Ability to read and write English to provide basic patient care and communicate instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provides for care, comfort, and safety of assigned patients under direct supervision of nurse.
• Performs and records delegated nursing care procedures with proper infection prevention.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility, including changing linens.
• Transfers medications between areas as needed.
• Responds promptly to patients' call lights and communicates needs to nursing staff.
