Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Health Care Technician to support licensed nursing staff in a busy Illinois unit. Under the RN, you will assist with personal care, hygiene, and daily living activities while ensuring accurate patient documentation and data collection.

The ideal candidate will have a HS Diploma/GED, BLS, and CNA-related training or experience, with prior nursing-related clinical exposure. This on-site role offers a structured training program and opportunities to grow within Carle

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days is required.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Carle's HCT In Training Program is expected.
• CNA certification preferred or coursework completed within past 24 months.
• Relevant medical military training or CNA experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unit supply maintenance and chart preparation.
• Collect data on assigned patients and document accurately.
• Demonstrate competency in vital signs, glucose monitoring, intake/outtake.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Prepare patients for transport and assist with rounds.
