Job summary

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association.
• Worked as CNA within past 24 months; CNA certification.
• Successful completion of Carle's HCT In Training Program.
• At least one semester of nursing clinical experience.
• Relevant medical military training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unit supplies and equipment maintenance to ensure smooth unit function.
• Collect data on assigned patients and document accurately under RN supervision.
• Demonstrate competency in skills per the skills checklist (vital signs, glucose monitoring, intake/output).
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, feeding).
• Prepare patients for transportation and assist during transfers.
• Complete unit HCT Safety Checklist at shift start; communicate task progress to RN.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and triage requests to support care.
