MU Health Care seeks a Nurse Tech to support patient transfers, meal delivery, feeding assistance, and daily tasks. You will train new staff and help maintain an orderly, efficient unit while adapting to varying patient needs in a dynamic overflow setting.

The role emphasizes hands-on patient care, accurate documentation, and teamwork within a 10-bed overflow unit serving ICU, post-op, and ED transfers. Competitive shift differentials apply for evenings and weekends.

Competenze

• Enrolled in a nursing program or CNA/PCT certification as stated in qualifications.
• Direct patient care experience within past 3 years as CNA/EMT/Surgical tech.
• Unlicensed personnel training with 100 hours demonstrated within last 3 years.
• Nursing licensure candidate who was unsuccessful on licensure examinations in the past three years; or
• Completion of nursing program outside the United States and awaiting licensure here.

Mansioni

• Assist nursing and ancillary staff in transferring patients between beds, stretchers, or wheelchairs and deliver meal trays.
• Organize workload and manage multiple tasks while keeping a clean, orderly unit; answer calls promptly and relay information accurately.
• Educate and train new staff members on Care Team Associate responsibilities.
• Perform unit duties such as patient positioning, equipment handling, daily hygiene, basic dressing changes, finger-stick glucose checks, blood draws, and lab specimen transport.
• Enter information accurately into the bed-management system and respond promptly to patient call lights while documenting vitals, intake/output, height and weight.
