Job summary

Ascension in Austin, TX is seeking a compassionate patient care aide to support movement and daily living activities at Dell Seton Medical Center. This on-site, full-time role operates in day shifts and focuses on patient comfort, safety, and accurate documentation.

You will report changes to nursing staff, assist with personal care, and help maintain clean rooms and equipment. Minimum qualifications include a BLS provider certification and a high school diploma or equivalent, with licensure

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire date (AHA/ARC accepted).
• High School diploma or equivalent or 1 year of related experience.
• Note: professional licensure/certification can substitute for education or experience.

Responsibilities

• Aid with movement and placement of patients.

• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Document necessary records.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
