Job summary

Edward-Elmhurst Health in Arlington Heights, IL seeks a Patient Care Technician for the 3ES Medical Surgical Unit. 36 hours per week, day shifts, with orientation the first week. Duties include assisting with daily patient care, vital signs, and coordination with the care team.

Must have CNA certification and CPR, with EMT or nursing program enrollment preferred. Full-time benefits are available including tuition reimbursement and paid time off.

Qualifications

• CNA certification and CPR are required.
• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with clinical rotations is required.
• EMT or paramedics training is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient treatments and charges to healthcare records.
• Assist care team in coordinating patient activities and services.
• Communicate with care team, physicians, patients and families.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, and comfort under RN/LPN supervision.
• Obtain vital signs and basic procedures as directed by RN/LPN.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transport to ensure safety.
