Job summary
Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Medical Surgical Unit nights. Full-time position (36 hours/week) with orientation during the first week and shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend.
You will assist patients with personal care, monitor vitals, and support nursing staff under RN/LPN supervision. Requires a high school diploma, completion of a CNA course and CNA certification (or EMT/paramedics training) or current nursing program
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited CNA course with CNA certification, EMT or paramedics training, or current enrollment in a nursing program with at least one major clinical rotation.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care needs under RN/LPN supervision.
- Support patient mobility and comfort using proper body mechanics.
- Record vital signs and input/output; report abnormalities to nurse.
- Assist with admission, discharge, transfer, and transport under supervision.
