Job summary
Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the General Medical Unit in Arlington Heights, IL. The role is full-time with a 7:00am–7:30pm day shift and every other weekend. Orientation starts the week of hire.
You will assist patients with daily activities, monitor vitals, perform basic procedures under RN/LPN supervision, and help with admissions and transports. Applicants must have a completed CNA program with certification or EMT/paramedic training, current CPR, and a high school
Qualifications
- CNA course completed and CNA certification exam passed.
- EMT or paramedics training or current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with a major clinical rotation completed.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care needs (bathing, grooming, eating) under RN/LPN supervision.
- Assist with mobility and safe patient handling using proper body mechanics.
- Take vitals, intake/output checks, accu-checks and report abnormalities.
- Assist with procedures and specimen collection as directed and document in EMR.
- Support nursing/clerical staff with admissions, discharges, and transportation as needed.
