Highmark Health's Allegheny Health Network unit seeks a patient-care assistant to support RN staff in caring for stable and acutely ill patients. You will document care, assist with daily living activities, and help with admissions, discharges and transfers under supervision.

The role requires 36 hours/week with 3x12 hour shifts in a rotating schedule, we emphasize safety, HIPAA compliance and teamwork.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Currently enrolled in ASN or BSN program; CPR required.

Aufgaben

• Provides, obtains or performs and documents direct patient care and activities (ADLs, vitals, I&O, ambulation, etc.).
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives and safety practices.
• Accurately documents vital signs, weights, I&O, specimens and treatments; reports changes to nursing staff.
• Participates in unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
