Responsibilities include collecting patient data, vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, transporting specimens, and maintaining unit records while coordinating with nursing staff to deliver quality care.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Basic Life Support (BLS) or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Collects and records patient data, vital signs and observations for nursing staff.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and transfers as needed.
• Transports specimens and delivers supplies and messages around the unit.
• Maintains unit records, schedules and patient care documentation.
• Responds to call lights and coordinates care with nurses and staff.
• Greets visitors and assists them as needed.
• Attends in-services and unit meetings.
