Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician - Health Unit Coordinator in Dallas. This role supports nursing teams with clerical tasks and direct patient care under supervision.

Responsibilities include collecting patient data, assisting with daily living activities, maintaining records, and coordinating communications. Night shifts with 12-hour rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Less than 1 year in healthcare preferred.
• Certification: BLS required or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record patient data, vital signs, and glucose monitoring.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and linen changes.
• Maintain unit records and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Greet visitors, answer phones, and relay messages to nursing staff.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and equipment cleaned and organized.
• Attend in-services and unit meetings.
