Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician - Health Unit Coordinator for Baylor, Scott & White Medical Center in Waxahachie, TX. This full-time night shift role involves three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends, supporting the MedSurg unit under licensed nurse supervision.

You will collect patient data, assist with daily living activities, maintain records, coordinate communications, and help ensure safe, efficient patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record patient data and vital signs for nursing teams.
• Assist with daily activities and mobility, maintain hygiene and comfort.
• Record and file admissions, transfers, discharges, and medical records.
• Answer calls, manage communications, and support nurses with equipment and supplies.
• Maintain organized patient care areas and ensure accurate documentation.
