Keck Hospital of USC is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide nursing staff support in patient care delivery, clerical tasks, and unit organization. The role emphasizes responding to calls promptly, assisting with mobility, hygiene, and daily tasks while maintaining safety and documentation standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification, and BLS; preferred 1 year of healthcare experience. The hourly rate range is $22.88–$38.90.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred 1 year of experience in a health care setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CA DPH) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification is required.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) if no card upon hire, must be obtained within 30 days (LA City only).

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient call within 10 minutes.
• Assists with daily patient care tasks per RN direction.
• Maintains clean and organized patient rooms and equipment.
• Documents care provided including vital signs and intake/output.
• Communicates plan of care to patients and families, and collaborates with the RN.
