Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, is seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician for our Float Pool. You will assist with vital signs, ADLs, and care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, while supporting safety and professional development.

The role requires a Maryland CNA license, BLS, and strong English communication. Schedule is 12 hours per week, day shift, with every-other weekend and holiday coverage. This is a non-exempt, on-site position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Successful completion of a CNA or first year Nursing School Program and CNA exam required.
• Maryland CNA license required.
• AHA/BLS certification required.
• Effective command of English (spoken and written).
• Physical ability to meet lifting/bending/turning requirements.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and Activities of Daily Living under RN supervision.
• Specific duties may vary by area of assignment.
• Consideration of the needs of specific patient populations.
• Participate in education programs, meetings and committees.
• Commit to ongoing personal and professional development.
• Present a professional image representing nursing and the organization.
• Follow the care plan set by the RN and receive reports from RN.
• Ensure culture of safety and report equipment issues.
• Maintain clean and properly stored work areas and equipment.
