Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Patient Care Technician for the Float Pool to support nursing care and patient needs during night shifts.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living under RN supervision, documenting care, and contributing to safety and quality initiatives. Must be a Maryland CNA with BLS and good English; able to lift and move equipment.

Qualifications

• Maryland CNA license required.
• Active BLS certification required.
• English proficiency (spoken and written).
• Must be physically capable of lifting, bending and turning.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow care plans established by the RN and report changes.
• Participate in department education programs and professional initiatives.
• Identify and report malfunctioning equipment and ensure a safe work environment.
• Maintain clean and properly stored work areas and equipment.
