Adventist HealthCare’s White Oak Medical Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the Med Surg Department. The role involves providing routine nursing support, performing vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements include a high school diploma, Maryland CNA license, BLS, and good English communication. The position offers full-time hours (36 per week), daytime shifts, and rotating weekends with benefits and a focus

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Successful completion of a CNA or first year Nursing School Program and CNA exam.
• Maryland CNA license required.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Effective command of English (spoken and written).
• Physical ability to lift, bend and turn.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Care delivery according to the care plan and RN directions.
• Participate in education programs, meetings, and professional initiatives.
• Contribute to a culture of safety and reporting equipment issues.
• Maintain clean and properly stored work areas and equipment.
