Patient Care Technician – Specialty Float Pool

Join the Ascension team as a Patient Care Technician in our specialty float pool at Good Health Solutions. This PRN day shift position requires flexibility, including weekends and holidays.

Schedule

PRN Day, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Minimum six shifts every six weeks. Self‑scheduling with occasional weekend and holiday coverage.

Hospital Locations

Good Health Solutions – rotating across Dell Seton Medical Center, Seton Medical Center, Ascension Seton Hays, Ascension Seton Southwest, Ascension Seton Bastrop, and Ascension Seton Edgar B. Davis.

Responsibilities

• Aid with movement and placement of patients.
• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Document necessary records.
• Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 30 days of hire; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High school diploma or 1 year of applicable cumulative job‑specific experience.
• Prior PCT or healthcare experience preferred but not required.
