Job summary
St. Joseph's Health in Wayne, NJ is seeking a Patient Care Associate/Technician to assist patients with daily living activities and provide basic care to acutely ill individuals. You will support a safe, clean environment and perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by a Registered Nurse.
The role requires a PCA/PCT diploma or enrollment in a nursing program, plus BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications and relevant healthcare experience. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- BLS certification within 6 months of hire
- PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months to 1 year of healthcare work experience within the last 6 months
- Enrolled in an accredited nursing school program and has completed Nursing Fundamentals level 1 coursework in lieu of PCA/PCT diploma/certification
- Evidence of Nursing Assistant training program completion
- PCA/PCT, Home Health Aide or CMA experience
