St. Joseph’s Health in New Jersey is seeking a Patient Care Assistant/Technician to support patients with daily living activities and basic care. You will help maintain a safe, clean environment and may perform EKGs and venipuncture under RN supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, BLS within 6 months, and a PCA/PCT diploma or active nursing program enrollment. Family-friendly benefits apply for full-time and part-time roles.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support certification within 6 months of hire.
• PCA/PCT diploma or equivalent nursing education required or enrolled in nursing program.
• Evidence of Nursing Fundamentals coursework or Nursing Assistant training accepted.
• PCA/PCT/Home Health Aide/CMA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic care to acutely ill patients.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Perform EKGs and Venipuncture as directed by RN.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Basic Life Support certification within 6 months of hire

PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months to 1 year experience OR enrolled in nursing school

Nursing Fundamentals coursework in lieu of PCA/PCT diploma/certification OR completion in Nursing Assistant training OR evidence of Nursing Assistant training

PCA/PCT, Home Health Aide or CMA experience
