Job summary

St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center is seeking dedicated caregivers to assist patients with activities of daily living and deliver basic care to acutely ill individuals.

The role includes maintaining a safe, clean environment and performing EKGs and venipuncture under RN supervision. Qualified candidates include CNAs with related PCA/PCT credentials and relevant certification, with ongoing nursing education or HHA/CMA experience considered an asset.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months to 1 year of healthcare experience in the last 6 months.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• PCA/PCT diploma with National Health Career Association certification.
• EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) certification.
• Enrolled in accredited nursing school with Nursing Fundamentals coursework in lieu of PCA/PCT diploma.
• Evidence of completion in Nursing Fundamentals coursework.
• Evidence of completion of a Nursing Assistant training program.
• PCA/PCT, Home Health Aide or CMA experience.

Preferred Requirements

• Basic Life Support certification. Effective January 2019, St. Joseph’s Health requires certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association
