Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is actively hiring a Patient Care Technician for a full-time, day shift. The role includes providing patient care, assisting with activities of daily living, measuring vital signs, performing phlebotomy, EKG testing, and IV-related tasks under RN supervision.

The ideal candidate holds an HS diploma or equivalent with a qualifying certification (CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, Navy Hospital Corps School, or similar).

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required; candidates must meet one of the listed certifications.
• Relevant healthcare certifications such as CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, or Navy Hospital Corps School are considered.
• Recent PCT or Nursing Assistant experience within the last three years is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with daily living activities.
• Monitor vital signs and assist with mobility and ambulation.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, EKG testing and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Assist with Foley catheter insertion/removal and peripheral IV removal under supervision.
• Document patient status accurately and report changes to the RN or medical staff.
