Job summary

Ascension in Nashville, TN seeks a dedicated nurse aide to provide direct patient care in the Critical Care Unit. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on compassionate support and maintaining patient comfort across a wide range of diagnoses.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Nurse Aide preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of applicable experience).

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care for patients with a wide-array of diagnoses.
• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Take Vital Signs during your shift and report findings to nursing staff.
• Train in Phlebotomy to assist nursing staff when needed.
• Contribute to positive physical, mental and emotional support for each patient.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
