Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN, is seeking a dedicated Nurse Aide for full‑time night shifts. This role focuses on direct patient care, safety, and collaboration with the nursing team to support daily living activities and comfort.

Qualifying candidates will have a High School diploma equivalency or related experience, with BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Nurse Aide preferred, with strong teamwork and patient‑centered care.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Direct Patient Care: Assisting with daily living activities (hygiene, mobility, and positioning) to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Clinical Monitoring: Observing patients for physical or emotional changes and immediately reporting updates to the nursing team.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring all care activities are properly logged.
• Environmental Management: Overseeing the cleanliness of patient rooms and the readiness of medical equipment.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
