Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Beverly, MA is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and help ensure patient comfort and safety. This role requires a High School diploma, good communication, basic math, and a willingness to pursue BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math.
• Desire to help people and/or have aspirations of becoming a healthcare professional.
• Basic computer skills (preferred).
• Medical terminology (preferred).
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Vital signs monitoring and recording.
• Measure height and weight.
• Monitor oxygen saturation and report observations.
• Collect specimens for analysis.
• Record and track intake and output.
• Provide personal care and assist with daily activities.
• Perform basic clinical procedures under RN supervision.
• Assist with nutrition needs and meal service.
