Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the delivery of patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. You will perform basic clinical procedures, assist with daily activities, and participate in a multi-skilled care team.

You will handle vital signs, collect specimens, record intake and output, and help with meals and comfort. A High School Diploma or equivalent and Basic Life Support are required or obtained within 90 days; CNA

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• CNA certification preferred but not required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and assist with daily activities.
• Perform essential clinical tasks under RN supervision.
• Monitor vital signs and report unusual observations to the nurse.
• Collect specimens for analysis.
• Record and measure intake and output.
• Assist with nutrition and meal service.
