Job summary

Beverly Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks a Patient Care Technician to assist in a medical surgical unit under RN supervision. You will perform basic patient care, monitor safety, and help with daily activities, reporting observations to the nurse.

Role requires a high school diploma, able to read/write, and eagerness to pursue healthcare. CNA preferred but not required; BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic math.
• Desire to help people and/or pursue healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and assist with daily activities.
• Assist with personal needs, comfort and safety of patients.
• Take vitals, height/weight, and oxygen saturation.
• Report unusual observations to the nurse promptly.
• Support RN with delivery of patient care and tasks.
