Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist with basic patient care under RN supervision. You will monitor vital signs, assist with daily activities, and help with nutrition and room service while providing compassionate support to patients and families.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic math and reading skills, and BLS certification within 90 days. CNA certification is preferred but not required; on-site care across shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic math.
• Desire to help people or aspire to healthcare professions.
• Basic computer skills preferred and medical terminology helpful.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• CNA certification is preferred but not required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs, height/weight, and oxygen saturation.
• Report unusual observations to the nurse.
• Collect specimens for analysis as directed.
• Record and measure intake/output; assist with daily activities.
• Perform basic clinical procedures under RN supervision.
• Assist with nutrition needs, room service, and meal setup.
