Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Anderson Hospital in Ohio. The role includes sanitizing rooms, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with feeding, grooming and mobility under RN guidance.

Responsibilities emphasize accurate documentation, strong patient interactions, and collaboration with the care team. Prior acute care or home health experience is preferred; BLS is encouraged, with training offered as needed.

Qualifications

• Nursing aide training program OR STNA state tested nurse aide OR CNA certification.
• Nursing program with clinical nursing course and rotation may be considered.
• 1 year of relevant clinical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, hygiene and mobility.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Delivers high-level customer service to patients, families and staff.
• Documents patient care accurately and on time.
• Participates in hand-off of information on arrival and departure.
