Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a non-licensed nursing support staff member who can be flexible across nursing units and transport duties. The role includes assisting with basic patient care, room cleaning, and stocking, under supervision of the shift primary nurse.

The position reports in adolescent to geriatric patient populations and requires adherence to patient safety goals and defined population guidelines, with in-house PCT Academy training for those needing it.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CCHT certification required for dialysis unit only.
• No prior experience required; PCT Academy available for training.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and report basic patient data (vital signs, weight, skin condition).
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient comfort.
• Transport patients and respond to call lights promptly.
• Maintain patient areas and restock supplies per policy.
• Adhere to Universal Precautions and Hand Hygiene.
