Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a flexible non-licensed staff member to support nursing units, transport, and patient care tasks. Under the supervision of the shift nurse, you will help with room readiness, basic patient care, and safety procedures while serving adolescent to geriatric populations.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; prior experience is not required and NGHS provides in-house training for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or high school transcript showing completion of at least the sophomore level.
• No prior experience required.
• RN students enrolled in Foundations of Nursing or CNA certification status may enroll in NGHS PCT Academy.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and report basic patient data (vital signs, weight, etc.).
• Assist with positioning, mobility, ADL, and comfort per procedure.
• Monitor intake/output and record on forms.
• Identify changes and report to licensed staff promptly.
• Perform clinical tasks under supervision within defined practice scope.
• Provide patient transport and assist with patient care needs as assigned.
